About Us

About Us

About Us

The acquisition of our newest site in Little Collins Street sees our first footprint into the top end of Melbourne’s CBD. Housed in the historic Normanby Chambers building, Scott Pickett and the team have re-imagined the former Bistro Vue site to become an instant classic. Returning to its most successful incarnation, Chancery Lane will return the space to a European-inspired bistro – albeit with an edge.

Like its name, the fit-out pays homage to a previous era; a space where opulence and luxury served as a refuge from life outside and a chance to indulge in the finer things. The fare sees Scott and Head Chef Rob Kabboord reference traditional techniques in a list of classic dishes with a modern edge. Open all day, Chancery Lane intends to return to its status as a Melbourne institution.

Revive the lost art of the long lunch at a venue rich in everything that makes the art of hospitality so deeply appealing. Chancery Lane might be less than a year old, but our leather banquettes, silverware on the tables, and Old World glamour will transport you to the back streets of Paris or Milan.

Chefs Scott Pickett and Rob Kabboord have designed a luxe menu for you that’s dangerously likeable, from the seafood hors d’oeuvres to the tartare of beef with potato and caviar, and of course the rib-eye with truffle sauce, served to share. You’ll be poured a 3608 Nagambie Martini on arrival, and there’s the option to add matched wines and make it a very happy Friday indeed. The only question is: who gets a seat at your table?
